Eddie James, Crystal Robertson, Kim Battle, Bethel Live, Jehoshaphat and a Year Long Sickness….These are what dreams are made of!

Yesterday, Terry and I were painting one of the rooms in the house. I set up my computer to play some music and chose the Bethel Live CD on my ITunes. We were just painting and singing and having a great time. We both have listened to this CD many, many times. As the music came to an end, I had forgotten that there was a bonus video segment. We had never taken the time to watch it or listen to it before.

The worship leaders of Bethel began to share how God had worked in their lives through music and a kind of behind the scenes look at how each song had been inspired or come about.

The Worship Leader Brian Johnson proceeded to tell a story from his teen years. When he was 16 a demonic spirit of fear and terror started to come over him. Every night when he would lay down to sleep this spirit of fear and terror would just come against him. He began to share that every night from the time he was to 18 he would have to go and sleep in his parent’s room. First of all what teen age boy would do that. But every night they would start reading the word over their son and start to sing worship songs. The fears and terrors would subside and he would be able to sleep. But of course the devil was not pleased and began to ramp up his work with a vengeance. And he wouldn’t wait for it to be night time to come against Brian. So finally, Brian’s dad said we are going to worship and use worship as a weapon to kill this enemy for good. On this particular night they stayed up all night long, singing worship songs, so long and with such force, that the presence of God filled their room and broke every chain that had plagued him for all that time.

For maybe even longer than a year, I have been battling illness in my hips and knees. I can go to bed at night but can never stay asleep. The pain is so incredible it either keeps me tossing and turning or I just have to get up because the pain it so unbelievable. I have taken medicine, I have prayed, taken hot baths at 3am anything I thought that would relieve the pain and give me rest.

Well last night was no exception. The pain in my body was even more painful, and had started earlier, so I had laid down about 9:30 to try and get some rest. And about 2am the pain became to incredible, I begin to cry and fret. I felt like this is never going to end. And that I would end up like my mom and my grandparents and have to have hip or knee replacement. The fear of that ran all over me, it consumed me. I couldn’t imagine it in the US and now that I am in a foreign country, I sure could not imagine having to have surgery of that magnitude.

I began to pray and I woke Terry up and he laid hands on me and began to pray for healing in my body. I drifted off to sleep but in my sleep I saw Eddie James and He and Crystal Robertson were singing My Praise is a Weapon and I started singing that in my mind and dream. Then I saw Kim Battle at Redemption Point Church with Crystal and Rob Alley singing the words…there’s and army rising up, there’s an army rising up, to break every chain to break every chain. And Kim was all out lost in worship, dancing before the Lord in abandonment using her weapons to break every chain.

Then I remembered Jehoshaphat, and how the army/enemy was so great against them and he prayed and ask God for help. And was instructed to praise the Lord and for his army to praise, because it was not his battle the but the Lords. So they went out and began to inter into worship and all (TOTAL) their enemies were defeated. And defeated so much so, that it took them three days to carry back all the spoils of the war.

So Praise is my weapon and I am going to use it! I am going to hone that skill just like every warrior does, so that my praise weapon is sharp and keen and will slice like butter. And the spoils of war will be my healing!
